![]() ![]() Wake Up Time (Petty has referenced this song as one of the finest he ever wrote) ![]() It's Good To Be King (Petty had high compliments for Michael Kamen's score on this) You Wreck Me (Petty was going to call it "You Rock Me", Campbell thankfully intervened) You Don't Know How It Feels ("lets roll another nooje") Wildflowers (The only song that Petty claims he wrote start-finish in one stream of consciousness burst) For what it's worth here is my mix mainly culled from the hits but also songs that Petty himself made mention of being among his personal favorites of the last twenty years or so: Aggie makes a pretty good stab at a tracklist in terms of culling together most of Petty's post 1993 singles. No Wilburys or Mudcrutch, but it includes tracks from all Heartbreakers and solo albums through Hypnotic Eye:Īround 2004 or so Petty was working on putting together "Greatest Hits Volume 2" but for some reason or another it never materialized. I actually put together my own career-spanning best-of a few years ago. ![]()
